The French School of Seoul

STATUS:

The French School of Seoul is an educational institution that is entirely approved by the French National Ministry of Education. The programs are in accordance with the official ministerial instructions in all respects, from the first year of kindergarten to the final year of high school. Furthermore, the French School of Seoul is also a part of the network of the AEFE (AGENCY FOR FRENCH EDUCATION ABROAD). The agency is placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This unique network of more 400 schools the world over, is present in about 135 countries. As is the case with 80 % of the schools of this network, the French School of Seoul is financially managed by the Parents’ Association according to the convention signed collectively by the French State and the Association of the Parents of Students on November 21st, 1988, amended on September 1st, 1990 and June 7th, 2002.

REASON FOR BEING:

The French School of Seoul, as with the other schools of the AEFE network, has for its main missions to ensure the continuity of French public education for French children, to contribute to sharing the French language and culture with foreign students and to participate in the strengthening of the relationships between the French and foreign educational systems.
